Godot's Polygon2D and Skeleton2D work fine, but manually placing vertices and painting weights one by one gets old fast.
PolyRig is here to handle the tedious parts for you. It brings automatic mesh generation, topology-aware smart weighting, and visual brushes directly into the editor.

Smart Mesh Generation (Auto Geometry)
Stop placing points manually. Powered by CDT + Lloyd Relaxation algorithms, PolyRig automatically generates high-quality, evenly distributed triangular meshes based on your sprite's outline. One click, done.
Topology-Aware Smart Weights (Auto Weight)
Stop painting weights by hand. PolyRig uses Geodesic IDW. Unlike standard distance checks, this algorithm actually understands the connectivity of your mesh. This means no more "weight bleeding" or sticking artifacts—even if two bones are physically close (like legs standing together or adjacent fingers), the weights won't cross over.
